NG gazetteer

A taxonomy of place names with associated information such as latitude and longitude, alternative spellings, and feature types. It standardizes place name content from the National Geographic Society's three main databases for archival geographic metadata: the NGS Publications Index, the Image Collection, and the Film Library.
